Warehouse and Logistics Captain Position (non-union)

EcoSet is hiring a warehouse and logistics captain for our facility. We work in the fast paced entertainment and film production industry, and we are looking for an adaptable person who can think on their feet and support a variety of projects simultaneously.


Reports to:  Reuse Coordinator, Materials Coordinator, Production Coordinator, Product Coordinator


Classification:  Hourly (Non-Exempt)


Company Role & Function:

  • Support Reuse department in all functions including logistics, labor and transportation

  • Support production and product management functions in the warehouse

  • Maintain daily warehouse functions and upkeep

  • Maintain safety in all warehouse and logistics operations

  • Maintain EcoSet vehicles

  • Lead deliveries and pickups, including loading and unloading labor



  • $22-$25/hour based on experience

  • 8 hour work day guaranteed

  • 32+ hours per week guaranteed

  • Overtime is compensated at 1.5x base rate after 8 hours and 2x base rate after 12 hours

  • 6th day and 7th day pay is compensated at 1.5x base rate for the first 8 hours and 2x base rate after 8 hours


Employment Structure:  

  • Position starts as freelance and will be evaluated after two months, at which point the hiree has the ability to become a full time employee with benefits

  • Benefits include medical plan, paid time off and sick leave accruals

  • Eligible hirees will be given a one day on the job “working interview” to see if they are a good fit for our work


Required Skills:

  • 1+ year warehouse experience and forklift operation

  • 6+ months delivery and logistics experience

  • Skilled with hand tools and basic electric tools (drill/driver, saws)

  • Ability to organize any type of materials, maximize space and create operational efficiencies

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

  • Ability to drive up to 24’ truck (box or stake bed)

  • Ability to tow an 18’ trailer (with pickup truck or 12’ stake bed)

  • Ability to pack and secure a load (box truck and trailer)

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize the completion of multiple tasks each day

  • Experience in the film or events industry is a plus, but not a requirement
