EcoSet is hiring an in-house assistant to support our ReDirect services and Materials Oasis community reuse center. We work in the fast paced entertainment and film production industry, and we are looking for an adaptable person who can think on their feet and facilitate multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

As EcoSet's Reuse Assistant, you will work alongside our Reuse Coordinator, Materials Oasis Coordinator and Logistics Manager. Daily responsibilities will be performed in our warehouses and also at other job sites for pick ups and deliveries.

 

Applicants must have an aptitude for logistics, a strong interest in sustainability, and a commitment to safety in the workplace. We are looking for someone who is hard working, eager to take on new challenges and ready to be part of a team in a multi-faceted small business environment.

 

Required Experience:

• 1+ year experience in a warehouse or logistics role

• 6+ months forklift operation experience

Skills:​​

• Skilled with hand tools and basic electric tools (drill/driver, saws)

• Ability to organize any type of materials, maximize space and create operational efficiencies

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs

• Ability to drive up to 20’ truck (box or stake bed), willingness to learn to tow 18' trailer

• Ability to pack and secure a load (box truck and trailer)

• Safety oriented in all aspects of a work environment

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize the completion of multiple tasks each day

• Strong communication skills in a team environment, and also with external crews, clients and visitors

• Experience in the film or events industry is a plus, but not a requirement

• Strong interest in sustainability, conservation and resource management

Initial hiring parameters: 

• Eligible hirees will be given a one day on the job “working interview” to see if they are a good fit for our work before beginning a 3 month trial phase

• Freelance hourly employment for 3 month trial period

• After review process, transition to full-time hourly staff position with health benefits, Paid Time Off program, holiday pay for major holidays, eligibility to enroll in company sponsored retirement plan

• After 1 year retention, transition to salary with additional benefits
